About the Project
It’s A Sign! explores the vast world of DIY signs (or as we define them, informal signage) around the streets of Metro Manila. It seeks to showcase the stories behind the signs we see so often, why they were designed the way they are, and the circumstances surrounding informal signage unique to Filipino culture.
Through a video series, supplementary blog entries, and even an interactive map, we aim to create a community between the people who make these signs and the people who engage with them.
